Katie Orlofske returns to the TMF Stage

Katie Orlofske sings “We‘re just two girls, just trying to have fun. Pushing life to the limit, living life on the run,” in a self-penned song, “2 Best Friends” about the adventures of a teenage friendship. Eighteen years old is an age where most girls are beginning to find their identities. But for Katie Orlofske, her heart and mind are set on one thing...that one, big break.

Katie Orlofske was born and raised in the Ohio Valley (not far from Brad Paisley‘s hometown). She received her first taste of performing in front of a big crowd at the Capitol Music Hall in Wheeling, West Virginia, where such artists as Brad Paisley, Lorrie Morgan, JoDee Messina, and Trick Pony have also graced the stage. At age twelve, Katie recorded her first demo CD. By age sixteen, she was playing the guitar and dappling in writing some of her own music. Now a high school graduate, she is quickly gaining recognition and building her reputation in the local music industry as a vocalist and guitarist, while she continues to grow as a performer.

Then in 2007, Katie received her first titles as a local and state winner, and also a regional finalist in the Colgate Country Showdown, where she performed for a shot at being one of the five national finalists from across the country. Over the past six years Katie has performed at various musical venues/events such as country clubs, theaters, festivals, sporting events, weddings, and area fundraisers. In an interview earlier this year, Katie revealed, "I love singing and performing, and when you love what you do, you can't really consider it work. I'm very thankful for that."

Her unique blend of country music, combined with her from-the-heart lyrics provides a sound all it’s own. Not only does she have a driving voice with an incredible range, she can tailor each song to make it her own. Energetic and comfortable is the name of the game with this young entertainer when she’s on the stage where she can let it all happen. It's what she loves and what she's great at. Her audiences are continuously awed by her awesome ability to connect with them.

There is no doubt that audiences everywhere will continue to be entertained by this vibrant, exciting, and extremely talented young lady with the huge voice. Needless to say, Katie’s going to be with us for awhile...so settle in and enjoy the ride!

Welcome back Katie ! ! !
