The Gigantic Pumpkin Contest Again, this year there will be a first, second, and third place winner. The first place winner will be awarded $300.00 and a ribbon, the second place winner will be awarded $100.00 and a ribbon, and $75.00 and a ribbon will go to the third place winner. After the winners are chosen all remaining pumpkins can be entered in the pumpkin decorating contest. You may decorate your pumpkin in any fashion that you like, and then they will be judged in three categories: prettiest, ugliest, and most original. First place prizes and ribbons will be awarded to these winners. Even if your pumpkin doesn't grow to enormous dimensions and weight, you can still be a winner by entering the decorating contest. Use a little imagination and you may be surprised when the winners are annouced. The Gigantic Pumpkin winners will be announced at noon on the open stage, and then all others will have 45 minutes to get your pumpkins decorated for the decorating contest. Winners will be annouced and prizes awarded at 1:00PM on the open stage. HINT ! ! ! Atlantic Dill pumpkins hold the world records in weight..... The Pumpkin Decorating Contest is held immediately after the pumpkins are weighed in and the winners are declared. Awards are given for the Cutest, Ugliest, and Most Original.
